I was navigating on http://whois.webhosting.info/, and never thought i could make a whois search for google which you can see here!
Amongst them the most original are:
– ALLEVIL.ORG.
– CROTALES.COM. (Lol, means horsesh*t in french)
– FIREHUNT.COM.
– MYDEJANEWS.COM.
– SAVEMTPLEASANTJOBS.COM. (LOL?)
It seems like google is becoming more evil with allevil.org, thats kind of scary!

Me and my friend portprophecy were comparing our web directories indexed pages on google this morning, usual stuff, we used the site: command of google. And while i was navigating in his indexed pages, i found out some major errors from big G, it seems like google is not updating the cache of some of his websites:
This is how the SERP looks like.
There are 2 major problems here. The first problem:
If you click on the last listing which is the PortProphecy FAQ page, you will arrive on his web directory, but if you click the cached button at the bottom of the FAQ listing, you’ll get all kind of informations about that page. Here we see that the page has been retreived by google bot on May 15 2006. But we are in September 2006? It is a very old cache! Also portprophecy told me that he deleted that page in late December 2005, it means that even the cache page is wrong about those informations.
And there is a proof of this:
At the bottom of the cached FAQ page, you can see 2 other web directories in sitewide (Qettle, Unadir), but in May, portprophecy had more than 6 web directories in sitewide! So this is a very old cache. That would explain why google didn’t update his web directories pagerank.
Google uses cache informations retrieved by googlebot in order to calculate the pagerank of each site on internet (calculate pagerank needs lots of time and power, internet is constantly fluctuating so calculating pagerank on internet is like suicide), there is no live-pagerank bar, the pagerank we see in the google toolbar is the pagerank calculated in the previous PR update. But your website can be a PR0 site and rank for some high keywords on Google, because of the live pagerank–the one we cannot see and also because this is a young site, after 3 months maximum your site should get some pagerank logically.
So here the pagerank of portprophecy.com is the one that was 9 months ago. Some of his sites didn’t had their pagerank updated for like 3 updates! It’s a lot! And his websites are web directories, pagerank is very important when you are in the web directories business.
There is many websites that got the same kind of problem, Internet-Marketing-Blog (PR2 should be PR6), Alivedirectory (PR4 should be PR7) and others, really a lots of sites are suffering because of their cache way too old and unupdated.
Also Portprophecy.com should be a PR6 web directory and not a PR4.
The second problem is that, all of his indexed pages are supplemental results.
What are supplemental results?
Supplemental sites are part of Google’s auxiliary index. We’re able to place fewer restraints on sites that we crawl for this supplemental index than we do on sites that are crawled for our main index. For example, the number of parameters in a URL might exclude a site from being crawled for inclusion in our main index; however, it could still be crawled and added to our supplemental index.
The index in which a site is included is completely automated; there’s no way for you to select or change the index in which your site appears. Please be assured that the index in which a site is included does not affect its PageRank.
Lol, well the sites that have supplemental results are suffering ‘fewer restraints’, what the hell is that? Also that last sentence “supplemental results does not affect Pagerank” it might be true. Alivedirectory doesn’t have any supplemental results, but its homepage pagerank is still affected!
In the movie of Matt Cutts where he is talking about supplemental results, we can hear:
[…Historically the supplemental results have been a lot of extra datas, but have not been refreshed as fast as the main web results…]~Matt Cutts.
So is it because of the supplemental results that Portprophecy.com doesn’t have its cache often refreshed, so by consequences it will not have its real pagerank? Or is it something else?
For me it sounds like a vicious circle that once you get in, its impossible to get out.
In Conclusion
Google should really update its cache from time to time. For myself i’ve nothing to worry about but for some webmasters its not the same affair.
Also there is many conspiracy theory, that all sites that are 12 – 9 months old can’t have an y new pagerank, but there is no reasons why.

As you can see, the webmaster of the listed sites put them up on google for the keyword ‘top 5 seo excuses’ as you can read on seroundtable and also at the dp thread top 5 seo excuses.
Of course the webmaster that realized that stunt is good even very good, he had to put each sub domains on different IPs and put a strategy on his link popularity building to avoid seeing the number 5th coming up in pole position for example (might be true) , it was a great order for the sites for each title’s meaning. Now that everybody knows about it, this is how the SERPS looks like for Top 5 seo excuses keyword:

its sunday and i’m working on the updates of those directories, well since the internet connection in Vietnam is extremly slow (1 hour to check 30 links, 15 minutes to receive my mail, 15 seconds to load a page on the web), it might take a while before all my directories are up to the v3.0.6. Why do i waste my time in updating them? The answer is easy, the new version of phpld have the ability to remove, accept or inactive the links received and awaiting submissions in MASS, means that instead of deleting or approving the links one by one, i will be able to do that in mass, i’ll open the links check page with 100 links then i’ll delete all the spam and i’ll take time reviewing the good links.
Irkawebdirectory is subject to spam from india, eastern europe and america, it makes me so angry to check 50 links and not approving anyone of them.
With that new phpld mod, I will not waste my time anymore (while i am waiting for a greater internet connection, it might be forever with the vietnamese).
I’ll also start to build another directory soon at the following address redisdead.eu, that directory will be the same as nodangers.com, it will have some free link submissions period but at the root its a paid directory. Obviously this one too will be in 3.0.6. I did not start the design for that directory yet, but i’ve time, its just the beginning of september, i’ve till october to finish all my current projects (the deadline) then i might create some more directories who knows (me ;D).
I was thinking of creating a phpld templates sites and let you guys have some of my design work for free for your own directories, this project will come after redisdead. I don’t know much on how i’ll do it but i might use wordpress for that, wordpress is huge! I love it!
In conclusion, avoid connecting like hell if you notice one of the directories isn’t working.
I’ve to put back all the old articles into the wordpress blog, so bad there isn’t any tools that can automaticaly convert some blogger posts into wordpress posts.
Also i still don’t know how i will re-design that blog and how the sitemap works. I think i’ll work on that this afternoon,
On Irka Web Promotions i’ve deleted the free directories list and niche directories list. Instead i invite you people in reading and visiting the list of Vilesilencer, the directories listed are free and 100% SEO Friendly, it is maintained by Dan and Seocompany.ca uses the list informations for their free directories list too.
Also i changed the irka web promotions directory url. Before i used the word partners, and Matt Cutts warned webmasters to avoid such terms, in conclusion i got PR2 for my ‘partners’ page and it was PR5 in the past. So i want to see if MC is right,

That’s a terrible terrible news, the zeal.com web directory will shut down on march 28th 2006. It’s true. For some of us zeal was a reference and inspiration. It was the potential rival of the ODP!
All the members that worked freely for Zeal, added websites, corrected categories, took a lot of time performing themselves on that directory are invited to the ODP, Open directory project. Bad news for most of them…
I added 3 websites a week ago and their submission was pending, i guess i’ll never see them inside of zeal. It’s the same for some other website i submitted! But that’s not the problem…

Everybody knows that tomorow the zeal web directory will shut down for good. So what are the alternatives for editors of the “old” looksmart’s free web directory inclusions? It seems that some of the editors that worked for Zeal have 3 alternatives:

All that knowledge gathered arround by the smartest people and those who cared about seeing Zeal blooming, is wasted.
I’ve started to learn web design 2 years ago, for me it was a first, i thought it would be impossible, for me all the web pages were the same (designly speaking), and it was just about learning the design theory (and not HTML – CSS & Action Script coding). In that period i realized the tons of work i’ll have to rush into, but i said let’s f*ck it and learn the whole thing.
I started learning Flash and its Action Script, i found Flash very attractive because its interactive and there is many kind of animations you can come up with. But the problem with flash is that its not SEO friendly at all and i had to learn HTML and CSS besides that. My flash training was for about 1 year, i even got a Flash certificate with a score of 10/10as a Flash Developper in the Lotus school of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
With my young experience i was able to do flash projects such as Ikon-av, ABC & others websites that you can find in my portfolio on my web design services website.
I have a natural feeling with the colors, my designs are unique and comes from me only, i love colorful stuff, i love borders and love mangas, cartoons and also AI dudes. I also love to draw (without using a mouse and a keyboard), especially tribal art.
Also learning flash wasn’t enough at all, as i said previously i had to learn HTML and CSS, it was a tough beginning and the first websites i created in html+css was Irka Web Promotions, a website that guide beginners in the search engine world. In the meanwhile i changed its design once, so you can’t really see how it looked like before. I advise people to read its content, once you’re done reading it, you’ll understand more about website promotion and search engine optimization. It’s also interesting to know how the ‘web’ is sewed.
I wrote a website about web promotion because, selfishly, i only learn when i’m writing something (this is my method of learning). Well, the beginning of that site wasn’t bright at all, i was a newbie and didn’t know hell about SEO, i only got 150 uniques visitors per month on that site when it first launched, now i receive the same amount of visitors but per day.
My purpose was to rank on the major search engines with some tough keywords ( the kind of keywords where there is only SEO and no Amateur ), get a nice pagerank, and see if i could do something out of that site.
Now i can rank on google #12 for website promotion guide without having to put the major keywords in the title. Google trusts the content of that site, its not even listed in DMOZ and Yahoo Directory (You can learn all that at IWP).
I am planning to review all its content and make it a small guide, deleting all the crap informations i didn’t had time to correct in the past.
Then i created Irka Web Design, to sell my design and search engine optimization services. I had more clients with that site than all alone with myself in the real world hawking arround my design skills to get some customers.
I found internet an easy way to communicate with clients, i don’t have to move from my office to meet them, we exchange via internet and emails, they ask me what they want and i give it to them. Consulting is the exact same, we chat via Yahoo messenger or MSN with the clients, they get their answers they are happy, they just have to pay via paypal then and everything is alright. Clients is happy and i worked for something.
I met a good friend of mine on one of the most popular webmasters forum on the internet, he shown me the way to create web directories. Web directories helps classifying sites under different categories, in search engines algorithm, backlinks are a very important part to get some decent search engine rankings, in fact the more backlinks you have, the more higher your websites get in those placements, a web directory helps to get more backlinks for your site. So it is interesting to have a link from those directories, thats why im building some of them, to help the webmasters out there getting there conveted rankings for each keywords they target.
