Bidding Directories

May 13th, 2007

There’s a new trends on the web, the normal types of directories like NoDangers.com or EveryQuery.com are old school now!

Now is time for the bidding directories which is a kind of neat concept. You can download the script php Link Bid for just 24$. Then you put your site up with a cool design and wait for bidders!

Here is a Bid Directory List, so you can see how many of them are out there.

I am starting my first bidding directory today!

Links Generators Technique

April 30th, 2007

I wanted to show one of the techniques on internet to get rankings, but that one is pretty cool and you’ll like its concept, i called it Links Generators.

Power of Links Generators

Tired of trying to get links for all your web sites one by one? I used to build links for each of my web sites by hand and that technique is long, very long and you’re not even sure to get a decent pagerank in the end.

So i introduce the Links Generators Concept to make your life easier!

Example of links generators:
Google, Seo Contests, Template sites, Web Counters. (You get the picture?)

– Links generators are sites that receives links automatically because of its content or services that it gives to the internet community. (Read the article It’s all about Links)

– Google is a link generator because of its search engine. Its search engine is used on many web sites such as AOL , of course google paid for that kind of advertisements, but many webmasters or bloggers just naturally build a link to google because they talk about it in their blog. So because of it’s natural way of linking, google is a link generator. Google’s engineers never had to build links by hand (sounds pretty obvious).

– Phpldyoursite.com is also a link generator, because it offers free templates it gets free links in exchange, i never had to build the links by hand.

Those are typical links generators. Then the trick is to make links on that link generator site. For instance if you make a links generator that reach PR6, then all sites you link to will have PR4 or higher (learn about Pagerank to know what i mean).

So you don’t have to build Pagerank for all your sites at all, but just make one site that will receive all the links you desire it receives in any ways (natural way is advised), then make links from that unique links generator site to your other sites. And your other sites will get Pagerank. SO if you have a PR7 or PR8 links generator kind of site, all your other sites will be PR5 or PR6 without having to build links. Ain’t that cool?

Problems using that technique:

If one day your Link Generator Site gets down and its pagerank is zeroed, all your other sites will be zeroed as well. But we ain’t spamming here so there should be no problems.

It’s All About Links

April 30th, 2007

You ever heard those people saying that “content is king”? Sure you did! Me too! I want to say those people doesn’t even have a clue of what they are saying: What is content?

Content can be the text and pictures of your site, but they also means the links of your website which is also part of your content. Links are king, let’s put it that way: ” LINKS ARE DA KING OF DA WEB “

Do you have links? Then how many? Do you know that google is making it harder and harder for Pagerank and SERPs? Forget about the usual methods to get links or it’ll take you forever to build a successful web site.

Now the real deal, the real way to make link is the natural way:
E.g.: We’ll take the example of Di.FM, that web site offers free radio for funky people on internet, and i love it. Because i love it, i create a link on my blog to share my passion for that web site, then Di.FM gains 1 link that way, and probably much more than that.

That’s how most of the famous newspapers such as BBC, New York Times, the Guardian and etc… are known on google for terms like “newspaper“, they get those big rankings because of people like me or you that blogs or write about them and uses the term “newspaper” each time you make a link to them.

Natural way of linking is the key, theres no others.

28th April 2007 PR Update

April 28th, 2007

A new Pr update for our webmaster dudes. It took me a while to realize some of my new sites got new PR, but it’s cool actually, they are all up to date!

Check out the DP Forum thread about this update.

There’s no secrets anyway about Pagerank, get links and you’ll get the green bar.

Directories Check Out

April 28th, 2007

If you plan on opening a free web directory and add quality content to it, i say STOP. Directories are over in my opinion.

Why i say it is over? Well of course it is good to buy links out on web directories and it is also good to get a free link on any directories whether it is SEO friendly or not. But the major engines like google and yahoo seems to not emphasize the weight of directories links like it used to be.

Directories are like your personal bookmarking on the web, and if you add spam sites in it you’ll be banned from google and other major engines. I consider 80% of the web directories that were created in the past years useless. And 5% out of the 20% left are eating up the competition which makes it harder and harder to have good revenues within the directory industry.

Yet directories are a good way to pay back your hosting fees and get extra cash but it’s not the way to get money on the web. It took me a year to realize it and i want to share it.

I’d still buy a link on a directory, but naturally directories are dying with the arrival of Wikipedia, Google Video, Youtube and so on.

Good luck on building directories and remember it’s not the best way of monetizing on internet. There are more problems with directories than advantages in the year 2007.

Blogs on internet are 80% Offensive wtf!

April 28th, 2007

I was crawling the V7n Blog and found that article out stating 80% of the blogs are offensive on the web! Interesting in fact, what can we do against that? Not much, it’s more an educational problem than something else. We can’t help bloggers to ‘behave’, and i would find the internet boring if it was 100% ‘clean’.

Irka Webmaster Directory New Stuffs

April 27th, 2007

Hello,

I just came back from France and i will open a blog soon about the stuffs that i saw there, will put a few pictures so that you know how it’s like to be in France.

I have no more free times to maintain my webmaster directory for free so i make it paid, i have a lot of jobs to do, one thing i know is that you can still submit free at DestyNova.net and Irka Web Directory FOR NOW. I say for now because it is a lot of work as well.

Maintaining free directories is like you gotta scratch your bum all the time with both hands and you can’t do nothing else but that.

I also received tons of spam on that webmaster directory and let’s hope that switch will slow down hungry spammers.

I set the pricings of 10$ per links submitted, i invite you to crawl that webmaster directory to notice it has high quality contents compared to most of the other webmaster directories, i believe a link there gives more weight to the SEO of your web sites.

A hosting story that ends…

March 31st, 2007

I ended my hosting engagement with a hosting company (dailyrazor.com) that i find totally incapable of supporting their customers regarding serious issues in a correct timeline.

First of all i was very upset with them:
– Accounts cancellation takes 3 weeks to be done, and it caused problems for my directory IWD, because i had to move it to another hosting, and with that new hosting i can’t set up databases before the DNS aren’t propagated, si i had IWD down for 2 days, cause the database is big and the internet in vietnam is slow.

– Don’t expect to have your money back if you don’t threat them with the Better Business Bureau ( The BBB takes care of your problems if you can’t do it ). Also don’t expect to have it in a short period of time.

– They change the passwords of your customers account when it is time to pay for a new yearly hosting with them. And you can’t login to pay. And your sites are down. Then when you contact them, they tell you that the hosting passed from 190$ yearly to 380$ with no apparent reasons to this. Well it is a long and useless story.

Never register a domain with a Hosting company. Use a registrar like NameCheap or Godaddy but do not register domains with your hosting EVER. That’s the best advice i can give out of all that mess.

– It took 2 weeks to get the EPP code ( the code that allows you to do a domain transfer from a registrar to another registrar ). So if you have your site down during that period, this is sad.

– Transfer Cancelled. If your customer doesn’t check its emails often, don’t expect your hosting company to do it for you. Always change the administrative contacts on the domains to your administrative contacts and not the hosting contacts.

– No money back on Add-on domains. I lost 150$ out of that with them when i still was thinking there was hope to work with them. Even if you bought add-on domains you will not get refund in 30 days. And it’s ridiculous because with Host Gator i can have unlimited addon domains and don’t have to pay for anything like they asked me (SCAMMERS).

So that’s how it ends

End of Pain with DailyRazor

Understand why i am upset now? Oh and i forgot i had to move 15 sites from them to another host. Imagine the pain….

My Biggest Advice in the End:

Buy a Reseller hosting account (thanks to an0n!) if you plan on doing many sites, and pay yearly with a trusted hosting company, pay at least 400$ yearly and you have 15 IPs different on 3 different class-c and also you manage it all from just 1 account which is way easier when you got lots of sites.

Google Earth is Crap

March 9th, 2007

How am i supposed to know something about Saudi Arabia here? huh??

Hosting Issues

March 8th, 2007

You ever had a problem with your web hosting? And when you had problems, you asked for support but it wasn’t there!

I am currently using the DailyRazor Hosting company. I had to change lately, cause those guys at Daily Razor doesn’t want to help you in nothing, ” you have a problem? Fine! We don’t! ”

Check out the Conversation with my hosting regarding the problem with DestyNova.net

3 Things that a Hosting Support will always ask you!

1/ The last 4 numbers of your Credit Cards (wtf?)
2/ More details about the problem we are experiencing, now we have to explain what the problem is for them!
3/ And again, more details!

Why do we have to do all the job for them?

Those guys are lazy, that’s all, there is no other explanations to that. Most hosting doesn’t care about your problems since everything is automatic, but what DailyRazor doesn’t know, is that some of their hosting server are crap and most of the misc of phpld doesn’t work on their servers.
For instance Pagerank doesn’t work on DestyNova.net and it still doesn’t work on my Webmaster Directory (there is no pagerank there cause the server doesn’t allow (calculate) it, i don’t even ask for help! I know what i will get!)

I never tried any other Hostings before DailyRazor, and many people are scared to change right? Cause we are afraid of re doing all the stuffs of our sites when we change host! But here is a good hosting > Host Gator, you can ask them to move from 1 hosting to another, and they will do that for you!

The Cancellation Department – A Huge Joke

They are lazy but they are also crook, i never had to cancel an account, and here is what i get when i try to:

dr-billing-crap1.jpg

What the heck? Cancellation Department, there is a Dpt. for that? I been waiting 2 days to be paid back. They must have a lot of accounts cancelled if they need a ‘Cancellation Department’ and wait that much time.

Never Ask for Explanations When You Know You Are Guilty

Look at the screenshot when i want to cancel my hosting account (above).
The guy Mejhabeen asks me what is the problem or where are they lacking at? Isn’t it just obvious? If you read the first conversation, you will understand what is the problem. Why does he asks me? That’s not professional at all, he knows that! And i don’t have to answer him anyway, if i was to cancel, i want to cancel that’s all, no questions.

I don’t know if you have problems with your hosting, you better figure it out soon, cause the day you have troubles they are not here to help you.
